This weekend, both the Bisons men’s and women’s volleyball teams went head to head against the Mount Royal Cougars. The men swept their two matchups against the visitors, maintaining their perfect record. The women didn’t fare so well, as they dropped both of their games.

The University of Manitoba Bisons men’s hockey team was back on the road in Alberta this weekend to face off against the defending CIS champion Alberta Golden Bears. The visitors lost a heartbreaker on Friday night in overtime by a score of 3-2. They then bounced back and won 3-2 in the rematch.


Herd stampedes over Dinos

The University of Manitoba Bisons men’s hockey team traveled to Calgary this weekend to play a two-game set against the Dinos. They swept the matchup, winning 3-1 on Friday and 5-2 on Saturday.

On Friday, the University of Manitoba Bisons football team went into battle during their last home game of the season against the Alberta Golden Bears. The Bisons cruised to an easy 29-7 victory, despite missing some key players.

This game never looked in jeopardy for the herd. They came out flying in the first quarter, scoring a touchdown on each of their first two drives.

This past weekend, the University of Manitoba Bisons men’s hockey team faced off at home against the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds in a two-game set. They were dominated in the opening game on Saturday 4-2 but battled back on Sunday afternoon to grab a 3-2 win in a second overtime.

The University of Manitoba Bisons football team headed into Friday night’s game against Alberta desperate for a win after two disappointing losses against UBC and Calgary. After trailing by nine at halftime, the Bisons would complete a second half comeback, winning 42-32.
