After going unbeaten against the Huskies all year, the University of Manitoba Bisons’ season ended prematurely as the women’s hockey team faced off against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in a Canada West quarterfinal matchup. The Huskies upset the herd by winning two straight games to secure the best of three series and move on to the Canada West semifinals.
A researcher at the University of Manitoba has won a Community Builder Award presented by United Way East Ontario. Warren Clarke, professor in the department of anthropology, won the award for research and community work stemming from his recent doctoral research at Carleton University.
