The University of Manitoba men’s hockey earned a split in a pivotal series against the Mount Royal University Cougars this weekend.

It was a weekend to forget for the University of Manitoba basketball teams, who were swept by crosstown rivals the University of Winnipeg Wesmen.

In the volleyball portion of the Duckworth Challenge, the University of Manitoba took a 2-0 lead after both the Bison men’s and women’s teams beat the University of Winnipeg Wesmen.

In a game against the University of British Columbia in January 2016, Bison women’s basketball player Claire Harvey went for a routine crossover. 

A week removed from sweeping the University of Lethbridge, the Bison basketball programs found themselves on the receiving end of a sweep this weekend.

This weekend the Bison volleyball programs welcomed some top tier competition. 

This weekend, the ninth-ranked Bison men’s hockey team was swept on the road in Saskatoon against the fourth-ranked University of Saskatchewan.
