The University of Manitoba Bisons men’s basketball team ended the first half of their season on a high note, sweeping the Brandon Bobcats on the road this past weekend. The herd never trailed in any of the eight total quarters, coming out on top 86-75 on Friday and 89-72 on Saturday.

The 103rd Grey Cup on Sunday, held at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, signified a homecoming for three former Bisons football players, as Ottawa running back Kienan LaFrance and Edmonton defensive tackles Eddie Steele and Don Oramasionwu all got the chance to return to the province where their football careers started.

In the winter of 2016, Saikel – Winnipeg’s first boutique cycle studio – will open to the public. The idea first arose in May after co-owners Mike Booth and Dustin Marks had each enjoyed pleasant experiences at spin studios outside of the province.

The University of Manitoba Bisons men’s basketball team completed their first sweep of the season last weekend, dominating the visiting Alberta Golden Bears defensively with scores of 90-68 on Friday and 74-61 on Saturday.

This past weekend, the University of Manitoba Bisons men’s hockey team welcomed Canada West’s top team, the Saskatchewan Huskies, into town. The Huskies swept the weekend series, taking Friday’s game by a score of 6-3 as well as Saturday’s rematch, 4-3.
