Bisons earn split in Lethbridge

This weekend, the University of Manitoba men’s hockey team hit the road after their four game home stand to play the Lethbridge Pronghorns. The Bisons were able to win 4-1 on Saturday after dropping the first contest on Friday by a score of 5-2.


Bisons get swept by Lethbridge in women’s hockey

The University of Manitoba Bisons women’s hockey team had their offensive gears running right from the start of Saturday’s meeting against the Lethbridge Pronghorns, but it was Alicia Anderson who stole the show for the second straight game. Delivering 24 saves, the rookie goalie held strong for her side to preserve a 2-1 win.



Bisons bounce back against Lethbridge, win 102-94

Six of Manitoba’s eight players scored in double digits on Saturday night to help the Bisons manage a split against the Lethbridge Pronghorns, 102-94. It was the first time the defensive-minded herd had scored over 100 points in a game this season, shooting 48.6 percent from the field overall.


Men’s volleyball bounce back to sweep Spartans

The Bison men’s volleyball team hosted the second of a two game set against the Trinity Western Spartans on Saturday, eager to bounce back from a loss on Friday. Manitoba won the day by a score of 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-16).


Bisons fall just short against Lethbridge

It was goaltending that ultimately decided the University of Manitoba Bisons women’s hockey teams clash with the Lethbridge Pronghorns on Friday evening. Manitoba peppered the opposition net with a flurry of shots, but the visitors left the Wayne Fleming Arena with the 3-2 victory.
