CIS issues new recruiting document

On Jan. 1, a new set of CIS recruiting rules came into effect, with a full page dedicated specifically to football. Most of the changes in relation to football involve finances, with teams being prohibited from taking recruits to professional sporting events, for example.

The University of Manitoba Bisons men’s basketball team made a huge statement on Saturday night at Investor’s Group Athletic Centre, knocking off top dog UBC in emphatic fashion 66-64.


Bisons fall in OT to Victoria

Victoria Vikes forward Grant Sitton will likely be in the University of Manitoba Bisons men’s basketball teams nightmares, after dropping a game high 28 points – including nine from beyond the arc, as well as 11 rebounds to lead his squad past the visiting Bisons 85-77 in OT.
