Degrees is expected to be up and running again in time for the first day of the classes, although slightly later than it’s expected completion date of Aug. 23.
“We wanted it open sooner, but unfortunately the heating and ventilation aspect of the project has been unduly challenging with many unexpected issues,” explained UMSU president Heather Laube.
Laube said right now, the project manager and contractors working on the renovations are working hard to have the restaurant open for Sept. 13.
UMSU has slated a number of events to be held in the restaurant during orientation, which takes place Sept. 9 to the 17, including the restaurant’s grand re-opening on Monday, Sept. 13.
