Big ice equals big problems for Canada

The 2016 World Junior Hockey Championships (WJHC) will go down as a tournament Team Canada would much rather forget. After only five games, the reigning champions were eliminated at the quarterfinal stage by hosts Finland in a contest that was heart-pounding and heartbreaking.

Finishing on a high note

Ready for the big leagues

There is little doubt in most people’s minds that the Winnipeg Jets have a bright future with a number of high-level prospects coming through the system. With players such as Michael Frolík, Lee Stempniak, and Jiří Tlustý leaving during the offseason, new players have an opportunity to try and crack the lineup.

Net worth

After losing four games in a row dating back to last month, the Bisons have turned their season around. Head coach Jon Rempel’s squad has now captured five straight wins, improving their record to 7-5 on the season.
