This weekend saw the University of Manitoba Bisons volleyball teams pitted against their local rivals, the Winnipeg Wesmen. The pair of games on Thursday – part of the Duckworth Challenge – saw the men emerge victorious while the women were defeated. Saturday was the same stor in terms if results despite the women putting up a much better fight.

For the fourth time on the season, the University of Manitoba Bisons took a game to overtime – coming out on the winning side to improve to 2-2 in that department for the 2015-16 campaign with an 82-74 victory on Saturday night.

The University of Manitoba Bisons women’s hockey team gained some valuable momentum as the ragular season winds down. On Friday night, they triumphed 2-1 at Calgary, winning back-to-back matchups for the first time since mid-November.

The University of Manitoba Bisons came out on top by a score of 5-2 in the rematch against Calgary on Saturday night, in a contest that the herd took control of in the final 25 minutes.

The University of Manitoba Bisons men’s hockey team were in action against the Calgary Dinos on Friday at Wayne Fleming Arena in a pivotal game in the Canada West conference. The Bisons earned a critical two points with a 6-4 victory.
