Basketball
The men’s basketball team stretched their losing streak to six straight this past weekend, losing both of their weekend games against Alberta, 97-67 and 76-60, respectively. Current conference season record: 7-9.
The women’s basketball team split their two-game road series against Alberta 1-1 this past weekend, winning the first game 78-76 before losing the next day 69-57. Current conference season record: 4-12.
Hockey
Bison men’s hockey earned two consecutive wins Jan. 21-22, defeating Lethbridge by scores of 5-1 and 3-1. Current conference season record: 10-4-4.
Likewise, the women’s hockey team also earned back-to-back victories this past weekend, beating Lethbridge two straight nights, 3-1 and 2-0. Current conference season record: 12-4-1.
Volleyball
The men’s volleyball team had their seven-game win streak snapped last Friday, as the Alberta Golden Bears defeated Manitoba in back-to-back games, 3-2 the score on both dates Jan. 21-22. Current conference season record: 11-3.
Looking to secure a better spot in the standings, the women’s team earned a two-game split against Alberta this past weekend, losing their first game 3-2 before claiming a 3-1 win the following day. Current conference season record: 9-5.
