Dear Reader,
This week’s advice would be to stop taking things so seriously.
Things are rarely that serious, whether it’s you fighting with your friend, your boss being mad at you or you receiving a bad grade. Throughout life, I have learned one important thing — life usually happens to you, not with you. Things may not always go to plan, but the most important thing is that you learn how to pivot, maybe take a different path instead. I never take things that seriously because I never want to get hurt. My advice to anyone reading this is to start taking more chances and learning how to adapt to problems when they arise. For instance, I recently realized I wouldn’t graduate when I had planned. However, I recognized that not graduating when I wanted would give me the opportunity to stay with my friends a little longer. There’s a bright side to almost everything. So, try to adjust your thinking and find the positive in the negative.
