A fleet of emergency vehicles converged at Dafoe and University Crescent at approximately 1:30 today, Aug 27.

Paramedics were seen rushing to the scene at around 1:45 where police, firefighters, and a hazardous material disposal truck were already in place.

Update: Paramedics were still arriving as late as 2:45 pm.

The University of Manitoba has said that a suspicious package was removed, tests on site did not indicate any danger, and police have signalled that the University of Manitoba community should not be concerned.
