There was one report of assault during the month of August, involving an argument between a male and a female who had previously been dating. The male allegedly shoved the female, leading to the male being arrested by Winnipeg Police Service officers.

Two individuals were reported forging parking permits, extending the expiration date. “In both cases, the individuals were interviewed and fined under the university parking regulations,” explained Community Constable Doug Heinrichs of Security Services.

There was one report of the exit gates to the parkade being damaged, where a security camera caught an individual bending the gate.

Several thefts were reported during the month of August. Two bike thefts were reported from outside the faculty of engineering building and Arthur Mauro residence. A theft of a bike seat was also reported outside Arthur Mauro.

Two laptops were reported stolen from the engineering building. “Both times, computers were taken from offices that were not locked while unoccupied,” Heinrichs said.
