UMSU LGBTT* community representative candidate

Date:

LGBTTQ* Community Rep candidate:
Kyle St. Godard

Why do you feel the community representatives are important to UMSU council?
I feel they’re important because if there’s no one to represent the group, then it would be harder for that group to express their ideas and feelings, and for those ideas and concerns to get acted upon.

What experience do you bring to the position?
I’ve been a member of the Rainbow Pride Mosaic (RPM) for over a year now, so I know almost everyone who goes to the RPM, but I’m pretty new to politics.

How do you plan to ensure that your community is better represented on campus?
I’ll make sure that I really listen to everyone’s ideas and bring them to attention, to make sure everyone’s ideas are heard.

How do you plan to ensure that there is effective and open communication between yourself and members of your community?
Just maintain a friendly relationship with them and make sure that they feel that they’re understood and heard.”
