On Jan. 14, Michael Ignatieff made the University of Manitoba the seventh stop on his tour of Canadian campuses titled, “A Conversation with Michael Ignatieff.” Just moments into his presentation, students greeted the Liberal leader with large banner decorated with a list of challenges facing Canadian students — rolled from the second floor of Drake Centre to the first. Ignatieff continued with his presentation unfazed, opening the floor to questions. Audience members posed questions from a variety of topics including tar sands, the Ukraine, copyright reform, foreign policy and post-secondary education.
