The first-year forward scored two goals in an exhibition game on Sept. 17 against a senior women’s team, leading the Bisons to a 6-2 win. After being down 2-0 at half-time, Miskimmin started what would be a string of six unanswered goals for the herd and put another ball in the net later in the game. The University One student has already scored a goal in league play in the Bisons’ inaugural season in the Canada West conference. Her first goal came against the University of Lethbridge in a 2-0 win.

The engineering student from Winnipeg was a defensive standout in the Bisons’ road victory against the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds on Sept. 18. The linebacker had six tackles, a forced fumble and one sack on the evening. After this performance, he sat second in the Canada West conference with two forced fumbles and was tied for fourth in sacks, with two. He had also helped the Bisons to the number-one pass defence and the second-best overall defence in the conference.
