Should there be a mandatory helmet law?

I think probably there should be . . . . I’ll put it this way: I’m one pedal slip away from giving my head a good knock on the cement.

Should it just be for kids or everybody?

I think that it should be for everybody . . . in most cases the adults need it more!

Is it enforceable?

Well, motorcycles went through the same thing and there are not many of them without [helmets] now.

How familiar are you with the bike laws?

Both: Not very.

Should there be a helmet law?

J: Yes, and if there is going to be one then it would have to be for everybody, not just kids.

Is it enforceable?

Both: Nope J: It would be nice but there’s no way to enforce it. B: Pretty big fines would help . . . if a helmet is $20 and the fine is $50.

Should there be a helmet law?

You know, I just grew up never wearing a helmet and I never had a problem . . . . I would have to say no, there should not be [a mandatory helmet law]. But for kids yes, if they grow up with them, then by the time they get to my age they won’t feel uncomfortable. But I just like the breeze in my hair.
