WHAT IS A HEALTY COMMUNITY: The Flin Flon Experience - A general overview of what constitutes a healthy community and specific information on Flin Flon, MB. Findings from a community health assessment including local projects that focus on health and social problems, environmental issues, community development activities, public consultation activities and local economic development will be discussed.  SING INTO SUMMER! - Conservatory Course Offers Adults a Vocal “Refresher.” Manitoba Conservatory of Music & Arts Summer Singing for Adults course will give vocalists of any level a way to keep their voice in shape over the summer months. Session one, “Getting (Re)Started” (July 4-7, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.) basics of singing, including breathing, articulation and production of sound. Session two, “Finding Your Voice,” (July 11-14, also from 6:30-8:30 p.m.) expands repertoire and vocal range. In both levels, students sing in groups as well as on their own. Open to all skill levels. No knowledge of sight-reading necessary. All classes take place at the Conservatory, 211 Bannatyne Avenue (at Main Street). Cost for each session is $85, or $150 for both sessions. Winnipeg Fringe Festival – Volunteers Needed. 800 groovy volunteers are needed for this year's 'Psychedelic' Winnipeg Fringe Festival. The Festival could not run successfully without the help and support of more than 800 volunteers who join our team every year. On top of the numerous freebies enjoyed by our volunteers, including a free Fringe T-shirt and a free ticket for each shift worked, volunteering is an exciting and rewarding way to meet new people and experience the fun of the Festival! CAMP QUALITY MANITOBA, a non-profit volunteer organization, is looking for a few good people for a weeklong camp running from August 13 – 20. Video Pool Media Arts Centre and Urban Shaman present GAMESHOW VERSION 1.0 by Charles Sheppard. GAMESHOW version 1.0 is an interactive, digital performance art event that explores the issues and dynamics of interactivity by placing a live performer in a computer generated 3D gaming environment, where she can interact with a live studio audience via video projection. GAMESHOW 2: BEHIND THE SCENES - a one-day, hands on workshop in which interested Video Pool and Urban Shaman members will have a chance to experiment with Charles Sheppard’s technology.
